Laphroaig 33 Year The Ian Hunter Story Book 3 is an Islay single malt distilled in 1987 and bottled at 49.9% in a 750ml bottle. The series honours Ian Hunter, the last family member to own and manage the distillery, and his work in securing the rights to the Kilbride Stream.
The whisky matured for 33 years in refill ex-bourbon barrels. It is non-chill filtered.
The nose is rich with candied bacon, mango, florals, leather and sea salt butterscotch, over ashy peat. The palate is syrupy, with tropical fruit, crème brûlée, aniseed, liquorice, seaweed and a wisp of smoke. The finish is very long, with ashy vanilla and peat.

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
