Laphroaig 34 Year Old Ian Hunter Book 5 is a limited single malt from Islay in Scotland, bottled at 45.5%. It is a tribute to Ian Hunter, a former manager of the distillery, and belongs to a series that marks Laphroaig's history. The whisky matured in oak casks for 34 years.
The nose is intense, with peat smoke, leather, dried fruit, tobacco, vanilla and oak. The palate is complex and peaty, with oak, leather, sweet honey, dark chocolate and spice. The finish is long, smoky, spicy and lightly sweet.
