Laphroaig Ian Hunter Book 5, Enduring Spirit, is a 34-year-old Islay single malt that brings The Ian Hunter Story series to its close. It is bottled at 45.5% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured for 34 years in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a Pedro Ximenez sherry finish.
The nose is typically described as smoky peat, floral green malt, caramel and dried fruit such as blueberries and raspberries. On the palate the Laphroaig character sits alongside salted caramel, roasted chestnuts and a touch of white pepper, leading to a long finish of pralines and gentle sweetness.

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
