Laphroaig Càirdeas 2024 Cask Favourites 10 Year Old is a limited-edition Islay single malt, released for the Friends of Laphroaig and bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky celebrates the distillery's favourite cask types. It combines ten-year-old spirit aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels with spirit finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The nose combines peat smoke, iodine and damp seaweed with raisins, figs and toasted oak. On the palate there is rich peat, sea salt, dark chocolate and sticky dates, with espresso behind. The finish is long and warming, with coastal smoke and peppered oak.
