Cairdeas is Laphroaig's annual special bottling for the Fèis Ìle festival. The 2025 edition is a cask strength version of Laphroaig Lore, bringing together casks of widely differing ages: first-fill bourbon, Oloroso sherry and quarter casks.
It is bottled at 59.6% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration.
The nose offers sweet herbs and Islay peat, apricot and peach, lemon cream, coconut and vanilla fudge, with cut grass, basil, tobacco and pepper. On the palate, peat and salt lead, with lemon peel, salted lime, caramel, herbs and fresh mint, then cloves and ginger. The finish is long, sweet and lemony, with phenolic notes.
