Laphroaig Cairdeas Lore is a limited-edition Islay single malt, a cask strength version of Laphroaig Lore and part of the Cairdeas series. It is bottled at 59.6% ABV (119.2 proof) in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a mix of casks: ex-bourbon barrels, quarter casks and sherry butts.
The nose has charred oak, sea spray, campfire smoke and subtle vanilla. On the palate come bold peat, dark chocolate, baking spice and briny sweetness. The finish is long, smoky and warming, with a hint of salted caramel.
