Laphroaig – Elements 1.0 (70cl, 58.6%)

Elements 1.0 is the first bottling in an experimental Laphroaig series that looks at the individual elements of the distillery's production process. The distillery team were given complete freedom to work with those elements and make single malts with a twist. This one is bottled at a cask strength of 58.6%. Tropical notes and a layer of salinity lead the nose. The palate adds pineapple and other tropical fruit, with a good amount of spice and liquorice. The finish is smoky with a slightly sweet undertone.
