Laphroaig – Elements 2.0 (70cl)

Laphroaig Elements 2.0 is the second release in the Elements series from the Islay distillery, following Elements 1.0, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery team stretched fermentation to as much as 115 hours, against the usual 55, and this edition includes a secondary fermentation inside the washback. The aim was more tropical, fruity flavours alongside the smoky Laphroaig profile. The nose has rich peat smoke, crisp green apple and a warmth of ginger. The palate is big and bold, with smoke, gooseberries, nuttiness and vanilla. The finish lingers with red berries and a long, powerful smokiness.
