Laphroaig Four Oak is an Islay single malt in a 1000ml bottle, made by marrying whisky matured in four types of cask: ex-whiskey barrels, quarter casks, virgin American oak barrels and European oak hogsheads.
The nose brings roasted espresso beans, almond cakes, sawdust and peat. Smoke opens the palate, followed by vanilla, and the finish is drying, hot and long.
