Book 4: Malt Master is the fourth release in Laphroaig's Ian Hunter series, a 34 year old Islay single malt bottled at 46.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It honours Ian Hunter's legacy and the traditional malting floors at the distillery.
The barley is Laphroaig's own, malted on the floor. The whisky was matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. It comes in book-style packaging.
Pineapple and peach run through rich oak and peat smoke, ending in a long, ashy finish.
