Laphroaig Lore is an Islay single malt bottled at 48%. It is the personal project of distillery manager John Campbell.
The whisky is made from a range of casks, including first fill bourbon casks, quarter casks and Oloroso sherry hogsheads, which are combined to give it a distinctive fullness.
The name refers to knowledge and tradition handed down from one generation of distillery workers to the next, which is what the word lore means.
