Laphroaig Lore is an Islay single malt bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of single malts aged from seven to 21 years, drawn from the distillery's Atlantic warehouse and presented as its richest expression.
The whiskies come from ex-bourbon, European oak and Oloroso sherry casks, together with Quarter Casks. The colour is a shining gold.
The nose is strong with peat smoke and mineral coastal notes, with a faint touch of ash and chocolate. On the palate there is bitter chocolate, ash and a spicy bite of chilli. The finish is short and dry, leaving a pleasant sweet aftertaste.
