Laphroaig – Lore (70cl)

Laphroaig Lore is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle. Its name comes from the Gaelic word for passage, a nod to the way distilling knowledge and technique are handed down from one distiller to the next at a distillery that dates its history to 1815. It is matured in a combination of small barrique-style ex-sherry casks, second-fill casks and ex-bourbon casks. The nose opens with Laphroaig's characteristic peat, followed by honey, orange blossom, caramel, vanilla and chocolate. The palate is almost creamy and warming, and the finish is long, dry and peaty.
