Laphroaig PX Cask is an Islay single malt in a 1 litre bottle. It is first matured in American bourbon casks and European oak casks, then finished in casks that previously held Pedro Ximenez sherry.
The nose is powerful, with Islay peat smoke alongside sweet raisin and dark chocolate. On the palate the smoke is balanced by dried fruit, figs and a touch of sweet spice. The finish is long, with peat smoke and sherry sweetness intertwined.
