Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle at 48% abv. It is matured twice in American oak: first in ex-bourbon barrels, then in small quarter casks while it is still ageing.
The smaller casks bring the spirit into more contact with the wood. This adds hints of coconut, banana and vanilla to the smoky peat of Laphroaig, along with a surprising sweetness.
