Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a single malt matured twice in American oak. Whisky from ex-bourbon barrels is moved into quarter casks, a smaller size that brings more contact with the oak and gives a soft, velvety edge alongside Laphroaig's distinctive peatiness.
It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers toffee and caramel from the vanilla and tannins of the American oak, with a dryness from wood oil. The finish is long, moving between sweetness and smoke.
