Laphroaig – Quarter Cask is a single malt whisky from Laphroaig (Islay). Bottled at 48% ABV, 70cl. Laphroaig Distillery was established in 1815 on the southern shore of Islay, and is one of the most celebrated of the island's distilleries. It is operated by D. Johnston & Co. and holds a Royal Warrant as distiller and supplier of single malt Scotch whisky to HRH The Prince of Wales. Quarter Cask is a no-age-statement expression from Laphroaig, bottled at 48% ABV. The whisky is first matured in standard ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred to smaller quarter casks, reviving a historical practice of transporting whisky across the glens in smaller barrels. The increased oak contact created by the quarter cask size provides up to 30% more wood-to-liquid interaction. Distilled and bottled in Scotland by D.
