Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a peated single malt from Islay, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It matures first in ex-bourbon casks and is then moved into smaller quarter casks, which bring the spirit into closer contact with the wood.
On the nose it is smoky and medicinal, with vanilla, coconut and sweet spice. The palate opens soft, balancing sweetness and smoke with caramel, honey and vanilla, then toasted oak and black pepper. The finish is long and creamy, with lingering peat and a light sweetness.
