Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a single malt from Islay, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in small 125-litre barrique-style casks instead of the traditional 250-litre size, which speeds up contact with oxygen, shortens maturation and keeps the loss of alcohol lower, while body and aroma stay intact.
The nose opens with intense peat, then moves towards alpine herbs, moss, seaweed and salty notes. The palate is full-bodied, with salty flavours and ripe fruit. The finish is sweet and lingering, with vanilla and cinnamon.
