Laphroaig – Select Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Laphroaig Select is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is assembled from five cask types: ex-bourbon quarter casks, ex-bourbon barrels, Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads, Oloroso sherry butts and virgin American oak. The mix of casks is used to round and sweeten Laphroaig's usual medicinal, iodine and smoke character. The Pedro Ximenez and virgin oak add sweetness and fruit, so the peat is still clearly there but less assertive.
