Laphroaig Select is a single malt from Islay, in a 75cl bottle. It is matured in a mix of casks: Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry and American oak. The colour is natural, with no caramel added.
Peat comes first on the nose, followed by ripe red fruit from the sherry casks and a hint of dryness from the American oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and sweet at the start, then the dry, peaty, ashy flavours arrive. The finish is long and floral, with marzipan and lime at the end.
