Laphroaig Select is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% and at natural colour. Its master distiller selects spirit from Quarter Cask, PX Cask and Triple Wood (Oloroso sherry), then adds a final part of 10 Year Old.
The heart of the spirit comes from a final maturation in American oak casks, which are rarely used for Scotch whisky. The result blends peat, oak and sweetness, with Laphroaig's trademark peat reek joined by added depth from the different oaks.
