This is an Islay single malt from Laphroaig, in a 70cl bottle, that pairs the island's peaty character with the sweetness of Oloroso sherry casks.
The whisky begins its maturation in American oak and is finished in ex-sherry casks. The result is amber in colour.
The nose is broad, with peat and honey, cloves, leather, iodine and a hint of smoke. The palate is warm and smooth and lingers for a long time, closing with dark chocolate, nuts and maple syrup.
