The mash bill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, which gives the softness of wheat behind the barrel strength. It is typically described as having fig, black cherry, plum, caramel, cinnamon and toasted oak on the nose. The palate starts with buttery toffee and baked apple before black pepper and nutmeg arrive, and the finish is long and warm with brown sugar, stewed fruit and a little peppery heat.
