Larceny Barrel Proof is a wheated bourbon from Heaven Hill, bottled at full barrel strength without chill filtration, in a 750ml bottle.
The mashbill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, with no rye, and the spirit is matured in new charred American oak. Each batch is drawn straight from the barrel, so the strength varies from one batch to the next.
Toasted bread, maple syrup and cinnamon lead the nose. The palate brings molasses, fig, hazelnut, caramel, vanilla and baking spice. The finish is long and warming, with spice and butterscotch.
