Larceny Straight Bourbon is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill in Bardstown, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It is aged for around six to eight years.
The mashbill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, following the old Old Fitzgerald wheated recipe. The spirit goes into new American oak barrels with a number 3 char at 125 proof before being batched and bottled.
The nose brings bread dough, toffee, butterscotch and light floral notes. The palate is soft and buttery, with honeyed caramel, orange zest, apricot and dried cherry. The finish is medium, with cinnamon, honey, maple, ginger and clove.
