Laws Whiskey House Honey Cask Finish is a straight bourbon from Denver, Colorado, bottled at 47.5% ABV (95 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
It starts as Laws' Four Grain bourbon, matured in new charred oak. The emptied barrels are then filled with honey by a Colorado apiary and, once the honey is harvested, refilled with bourbon for further maturation. The honey-coated oak adds gentle sweetness and a floral-citrus lift.
The nose is meadow-like, with florals, citrus and soft sweetness. The palate brings black tea, bright fruit, gentle spice and honeyed warmth. The finish is smooth and lingering, with a clean fade of spice.
