Le Altane Merlot Trevenezie IGT

A Merlot from Le Altane, made from grapes grown in the vocation areas of north-eastern Italy. In the glass it is an intense ruby red with light violet reflections. On the nose it offers enveloping aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry, blackberry and plum, accompanied by light spicy notes and a herbaceous touch typical of the variety. On the palate it is soft and velvety, with delicate tannins and good aromatic persistence, leaving a pleasantly fruity finish. Vinification takes place in steel, with brief ageing to preserve freshness and immediacy of fruit. It is versatile with everyday dishes and richer preparations, and is best served at 16-18 C.
