Le Riche Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 Stellenbosch (75cl, 14.5%)

This is a Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Le Riche in Stellenbosch, South Africa, made from hand-picked grapes grown on older, lower-yielding vines. Fermentation uses a selected yeast at controlled temperatures, with manual punching down for colour extraction and a further period of maceration. The wine is matured in barrel, then rests in bottle after bottling. The nose combines blackcurrant, blackberry, dark cherry and a hint of violet with metallic and cedar notes. The palate shows sweet, ripe black fruit, full, structured tannins and fresh acidity, with a rich texture and a lasting finish.
