Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia 2024

Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia is a red wine from Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, made from the same varieties and with the same vineyard and cellar approach as the estate's main wine. The 2024 blends 49% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Petit Verdot and 13% Cabernet Franc, each variety and parcel vinified separately after hand-harvesting and selection. It aged for around 15 months in barriques, 30% new and 70% second- and third-use, then spent six months in bottle before release. The colour is deep with purple hues. The nose offers raspberry and redcurrant with subtle floral and spice notes, and the palate is vibrant and balanced, dense, with elegant tannins and a long finish that echoes the fruit.
