Ledaig 12 Year Old is a peated single malt from Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, selected and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Discovery range. It is bottled at 43% ABV.
It matured in bourbon and sherry casks, which bring smoke, fruit and a sweet woodiness together.
The nose opens with peat smoke, smoked meat, caramel and cooked apples, with sea herbs and a salty touch. On the palate come stewed fruit, raisins and redcurrants alongside milk chocolate and crème brûlée. The finish is woody, with light citrus notes.
