Ledaig 16 Year Old 2009 Hidden Spirits Refill Hogshead

This is a 16 year old Ledaig, the single malt from Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, bottled by Hidden Spirits from a single cask. It was distilled in May 2009 and matured throughout in a refill sherry hogshead, then bottled in March 2026 for the Pop-People series. The label shows 'Masai', a colourful pop-art portrait by the artist Minea. The nose is strong peat smoke with salty sea air and a fine minerality. The palate is oily, with dry spice, bright citrus and a subtle nuttiness, leading to a long finish of salt and lingering smoke.
