This is a 16 year old Ledaig from Tobermory Distillery, matured throughout in a bourbon hogshead. It is bottled at 53.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Peat smoke leads, joined by vanilla, light fruit and spicy oak.
The nose has peaty smoke like a dying campfire, sea air, vanilla, light caramel and ripe pear. On the palate smoke meets creamy vanilla, honey and caramel, with black pepper and a salty note. The finish is medium in length, with dry peat smoke, oak spice and a little pepper.
