Ledaig 18 2005/2023 Elixir Distillers Macbeth Collection Act One - First Murderer (50.5%)

An 18-year-old Ledaig from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2023 by Elixir Distillers. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 50.5% ABV, and 2100 bottles were produced. The label belongs to the Macbeth Collection, Act One, and carries illustrations by Sir Quentin Blake. The whisky itself is smoky, spicy and maritime. The nose combines earthy moss and wildflowers with wood smoke, a fresh sea note and tallow candles. On the palate, strong peat smoke carries juicy citrus, held in by dry cedar and a salty edge. The finish is long, leaving smoke and fine sea salt.
