Ledaig 18 Year Old is a peated single malt from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. This is Batch No. 03, a limited release bottled in 2016 at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle, and finished in Spanish sherry wood.
It is described as having deep, rich sherry influence set on a firm peat base.
The nose combines dried fruit, dark chocolate, raisins, roasted nuts and a soft veil of smoke. On the palate, sweet sherry notes of caramel, figs and plums mix with heavy peat smoke, sea salt, leather and soft spices. The finish is long and warm, with sherry sweetness and lingering smoke.
