This is Ledaig 18 Year Old, the peated single malt from the Tobermory distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in selected oak casks and given a finishing period in sherry casks.
The nose is rich with sherried fruit, smoke, light creosote, pepper and spice, with sweet oak behind. On the palate it is rich and powerful, with smoke, citrus, coffee, tobacco and a touch of salt.
The finish is long, with pungent smoke and star anise.
