Ledaig 18 Year Old is a peated single malt from the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky matures for 18 years in total in bourbon and sherry casks, and is finished in Spanish sherry casks. Ledaig is the smoky malt made at Tobermory, alongside the unpeated Tobermory style.
The nose combines fruity sherry with strong smoke, tar, seaweed, dried chilli flakes and black pepper. The palate is robust, with sherry, herbs, orange peel, coffee and tobacco, and the long finish is smoky, with liquorice and salty spray.
