This is a Ledaig from the Isle of Mull, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2025 after 19 years in a single refill butt. The cask gave 636 bottles, filled at cask strength, 55.6% ABV, without added colouring or chill filtration.
Strong peat smoke runs through it, with maritime touches, sweet notes and dry wood alongside.
The nose is earthy peat smoke with a distinct saltiness. On the palate it is oily, with toffee, ripe apricot and bitter orange peel, while dried fruit and fine spice sit around the smoke. The finish is long and dry, with oak and lingering peat.
