This Ledaig is a 19 year old, heavily peated Highland single malt from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull. It was fully finished in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 2400 bottles.
The nose is smoky, with stewed red fruit, raisins, leather and soft spice. The palate brings rich sherry, peat smoke, plums, dark chocolate and hints of tobacco. The finish is dry, with sherry, peat and warm spices that linger.
