Ledaig 1996 is a peated single malt from Tobermory Distillery, selected and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice series. It was distilled in 1996 and is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
The nose has smouldering peat smoke, sea spray, lemon peel and damp oak, with hints of leather and orchard fruit. The palate is full-bodied, with smoky embers, salted caramel, honeyed malt, citrus zest, dried seaweed and pepper. The finish is long, smoky and briny, with sweet malt and mature oak.
