This is a 2001 Ledaig, 20 years old, bottled by Signatory Vintage for its Cask Strength Collection. It comes in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 58.8% ABV, without artificial colour.
The whisky matured for two decades in a single refill sherry butt.
The nose offers orchard fruit, orange oil, cocoa powder and mineral smoke. On the palate come toasted almonds, dark cherry chocolate, aniseed and a wintery spice. The finish brings burnt brown sugar, smoke and salted caramel.
