Ledaig is the peated spirit made at Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull. This bottle is a 2005 vintage, 11 years old, matured in a hogshead and bottled by Dong Fang Ming at 62.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The label shows an ancient painting from Turkey called 'Phoenix and Dragon'.
The nose brings smoked salmon, salt, bonfire and sulphide. On the palate there is sea breeze, smoke and salted black bean, and the finish runs to smoky bacon, leather, citrus peel and tobacco.
