Ledaig 2005/2022 is a 15-year-old single cask malt from the peated Ledaig make of Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull. La Maison du Whisky chose it for the twelfth edition of its Artist series, which carries artwork by Gesine Arps.
The whisky was distilled in 2005, matured in a refill sherry butt and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 64.8%. The 456 bottles are natural colour and not chill-filtered.
The nose opens with dry, rooty peat beside brandied cherry and apricot. On the palate the peat turns chocolatey and salty, with camphor, bacon and open fire. The finish is long, earthy and floral, with liquorice and pepper.

Lively; peat turning chocolatey and salty, with arnica, camphor, bacon, sandalwood and open fire, then raspberry and lemon
Long; damp earth, poppy, cornflower and violet, then milder peat with liquorice and fine pepper, ending on ripe apricot
