This is an 18-year-old Ledaig, the smoky malt of Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, selected by Elixir Distillers for The Single Malts of Scotland series. It was distilled on 3 February 2005, matured in a single barrel and bottled on 5 June 2023 at 53.5% ABV.
The barrel yielded 249 bottles, with no chill-filtration and no added colour.
The nose combines wood smoke, damp moss and tar. Dark chocolate, spicy smoke and earthy notes lead the palate, and the long finish brings dark coffee, liquorice and a trace of tar.
