This is a 13 year old Ledaig, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2020 from refill sherry butts at 48% abv. It comes in a 70cl bottle as LMDW Artist 4.4.
Ledaig is the peated single malt made at Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, which was founded in 1798. The distillery's other single malt, Tobermory, is unpeated.
The nose brings white mint, straw, ash and soot with lemon zest and camphor. The palate is mineral, with chalk, slate, juicy pear and acacia honey before it turns medicinal. The finish is long and sharp, ending on seaweed and samphire.
