This is a six year old Ledaig from the Tobermory distillery, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its 100 Proof series at a cask strength of 57.1%. It was distilled in 2020 and matured in refill Oloroso sherry hogsheads and refill bourbon barrels.
The nose combines sweet sherry notes, poached pears and a lively touch of lemon. The palate brings full peat smoke, balanced by creamy vanilla custard and dark raisins. The finish is long and dry, with nuts and a pronounced, earthy smokiness.
