Ledaig 9 Year Old is the peated single malt of Tobermory, a limited edition from the 2012 vintage. It was matured in red wine casks, described as a Bordeaux cask finish, and bottled at a cask strength of 56.8% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has smoked fudge, eucalyptus oil and carbolic soap. On the palate come burning heather and pine cones, grape skins, melon and wood-smoked meats. The finish turns floral as the smoke fades, ending with lime pastilles.
