This is a 9 year old Ledaig from Tobermory distillery, a limited edition single malt bottled at cask strength. It was matured in Bordeaux red wine casks.
The nose combines eucalyptus oil, smoked fudge and carbolic soap. On the palate come burning heather, pine cones, grape skins, melon and wood-smoked meats. The finish brings hints of honeysuckle, heather and lime pastilles, with smoke lingering at the end.
