Ledaig Castaway is a limited edition from Tobermory's peated Ledaig range, bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 61.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The malt matured in Caribbean rum casks and Mexican tequila casks, an unusual pairing that joins the maritime peat smoke of the Isle of Mull with tropical sweetness and a note of agave.
The nose offers coastal smoke, caramelised banana and lime zest. On the palate come grilled pineapple, black pepper and toffee, and the finish is long and warming, with chilli heat and fresh lime.
