Ledaig Castaway is a peated single malt from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, matured in rum and tequila casks. It is bottled at 61.6% without chill filtration or added colouring. The malt is peated to around 35ppm.
The edition was made in collaboration with the Mull & Iona Community Trust and honours the Rubha nan Gall lighthouse.
The nose offers maritime smoke around grilled pineapple and ripe mango, with sharp citrus and a touch of salty vanilla. On the palate, earthy agave comes with warm spices and gentle vanilla sweetness, and tropical fruit adds brighter notes.
